Hello. I am have some new problems when framing my work before I proceed to cut or burn. Usually I start most new projects with a box or circle around my work, to help me get everything lined up. What is happening is, when I trace shaped INSIDE of that larger box, it only traces the bigger outer box. In this example screenshot, it won’t frame the shape or text inside the box. And even when I delete the box it still traces the same large outline.
I tried with new files and new shapes and new projects. I am getting always the same problem.
I had a helpful guy on in a Facebook forum test my file. He had no issues.
Recently I switched computers and installed LightBurn on my new computer. And I did try to reinstall. And getting the same problem. I never had this issue on my old computer.
I tried to select-all and find and delete any hidden shapes, but I am not finding any hidden shapes.
Any suggestions?
We could use that file too. More eyes have a better chance of spotting something.
When you use the trace command on an image, you can drag a box around what you want to trace.

Sorry guys. I meant framing. I don’t see how I can edit my post. If there is a way, I will do so.
Basically, the issue is still the same as I explained in my post. But instead of tracing, it is a framing problem.
Which Start From option are you using in the Laser window?
Using a camera for placement only works with Absolute Coords

If you want it to only frame, say the circle, you must ungroup all of them and then select only the circle. If they are Grouped, then that is only one object.
Using that image with the octagons as an example. Imagine all of the shapes are NOT grouped and are individual shapes. I select one of the octagons to frame it and I do this to ensure everything is lined-up before I burn/cut. And that happens instead of just the octagon being framed, that whole green box that is outlining everything is being framed instead, even though I explicitly do not have the rectangle selected.

Just spotted something, why are you using GRBL-M3 as the Device Type?
I tested your file, but like you suggested I found it to be okay.
Switch from GRBL-M3 to GRBL and see if that improves your situation. I did a quick browse of the Forum for your laser and it appears to be a common flavor of GRBL.
