Framing not aligning with my laser machine

Having trouble framing and aligning on my co2 machine. At first I was cutting a design in paper on my machine and realized it was misaligned and cutting over itself in some areas. The preview however, on my computer was perfect.
Then I stopped the cut and changed the speed and power.

But then when I tried framing it again for my new cut, it said your design is out of bounds (which it wasn’t, but the frame on my machine was) I played around with it a little but now it’s only framing a rectangular shape.
Haven’t had this issue in the past.
I am new to lightburn though

How do I fix this?

In addition to the video recommended by @thelmuth, I recommend setting Start From: Absolute Coordinates in the Laser window. That will make the LightBurn workspace correspond exactly to the physical platform in the machine, so that you can position your design and know where it will appear.

Also, the green outline in the Preview will correspond exactly with the machine’s limits, which will show any problems with overscan extending beyond the edges:

Because the Ruida controller computes the overscan, LightBurn needs its speed & acceleration settings to simulate the overscan for the Preview display. Fetch them from the controller thusly:

Thank you, but still having issues. I am using a large Co2 laser machine. It’s been working fine until today. Its all messed up. everything I cut starts off cutting fine and then goes crazy cutting the correct design but misaligned and cutting over other parts of the design.
Also, I am wondering how to see my red dot when framing? I dont have a firing option in my settings panel where other videos have shown it to be
thank you!

The red dot on a C02 is typically on all the time. There is no fire button in Lightburn for C02. That only applies to Diode Lasers.
Pics or better yet a video of what is happening would be helpful along with a screenshot of your Lightburn window.
