I have been using my machine for two years with zero issues. Since the 2.0.02 I have had problems non-stop.
Newest issue is framing past the object I’ve created. The area to engrave is 305mm wide and the square I’ve created to make sure I’m square is 305mm (see pics) yet the machine started framing approximately 10mm past the object. I’ve tested on new projects to see if the same issue exists and it seems to be consistent. Not sure what I’m missing here.
Try changing from Current Position to Absolute Position
Home your machine first, then frame to confirm where the design will be placed.
Since you have Enable Pointer Offset turned off i assume your using the blue laser beam to frame your job
Also, if your using a diode laser change Machine Units: from mm/sec to mm/min. This is better for diode lasers.
Also, you could turn on Enable Pointer Offset and enter the correct values in the X an Y field and use the Red X beam (If you have one) to frame your job instead of using the Blue Laser Beam. See instructions below;
Home your machine
Turn Off Enable Pointer Offset
Put some values into X and Y on the Pointer Offset Screen
To find out start Values turn on the laser beam at lower power and measure the
x and Y offset between the blue laser beam and the Red X positioning beam
Create a small box like 15mm x 15 mm and burn it onto a test piece.
Next Turn On Enable Pointer Offset
And position the Red X on the bottom left corner of the box you just burned.
Don’t move the laser head by hand, Jog it into position
Run the job again. The Box should burn exactly over the previous box you burned
If it doesn’t adjust the X and Y off set until it does
Repeat this until you get correct
If you want some wildcard values for X and Y to start with try X=19mm and Y=3mm.
These depend on your machine and the mounting of the laser head and Red Positioning Pointer
but it gives you something to start with. These are my values from my Atomstack A70 Pro
