I am noticing that the power of my framing keep changing - but I don’t recall it doing this originally when I first started using galvo lasers as though something changed in an update.
I’m sure that when I used to use the frame feature, the power/intensity of it was consistent regardless of my layer settings. However, now it seems relative to the settings I have in my layers. For example, I was doing quite a delicate job with my 5w UV laser and I could hardly see the framing, even when turning all the lights off. Yet doing a more aggressive job that same day, and the framing was brighter.
I should also add that I have 3 glavo lasers (2 fibre and 1 UV) and this is happening on all of them leading me to believe its software and not hardware.
Its not the framing speed from what I can see, it is the intensity of the light.
I’ve asked in a few Facebook groups and got no useful responses - hopefully someone here may be able to advise.
Thank you.
Question, is it always the same sample of material that is showing bright with aggressive layers and not bright with delicate layers? Another way to ask the same question, without moving/ touching/ switching out material under the laser, just changing layer settings makes the difference? Across all 3 lasers?
Yes, thats exactly it.
Recently on my 60w MOPA, I did the first frame which was fine, quickly realised i had left it on line and not fill, switched it to fill, minor tweak on a setting and then when i framed again it was really weak.
