Relative Newbie here. I recently learned about Print and Cut which I use to align templates for holding multiple pieces. After I set the first location in Print and Cut then use the MOVE buttons to jog to the second location, the box for MOVE input speed will not accept a manual input. Only the up or down arrows work. This leaves only large numbers to control sending the laser to a precise spot and doesnt allow the feature to work. This happens over 50% of the time. It requires a Lightburn reboot to fix. Is this common?
How do I provide the best data for analysis?
WIN 10PC, Xtool D1 Pro 40 watt laser with up to date firmware and software.
I’m curious. How does the speed of the movement affect the ability to get accurate placement? Are you using “Continuous Jog”? If so, I suggest you not use that for Print and Cut. Then adjust the “Distance” field to a smaller distance. Note also that CTRL and CTRL+SHIFT key modifiers will further reduce the distance travelled.
Can you take a screenshot of this? In what way are you prevented from inputting a value?
The answer to your question is: If I have to jog to certain location to align the 2nd Print and Cut location and the laser is 2 mm away and using the up or down jog distance arrows (because manual input locks me out for some reason) I have a selection of either 10mm and 0mm, its impossible to get the second location selected. All that said, I have struggled with this for 2 weeks. Many hours waster and many LB reboots. However, after posting this note, I spent an hour trying to recreate the condition to gather data and I cannot experience this error. No idea why. LB is an amazing product, my only interest is in making it better. Sorry to waste time with this. If I see it again, I will repost. Thanks, Adam
