Goto tab not functioning

windows MM version 8.01

under the “GOTO” tab the gotoxy is not working and also the “saved positions” is not working, also get a false “out of bounds warning” when start button is pressed, the goto problem might be related to the false out of bounds warning??? how do i load the previous version?? also just cosmetic the but the cords are not lined up over the zero buttons but the colors and update of the cords is a great improvement. thanks

v0.8.01 appears to be a Release Candidate. I does not appear as a regular update. You can simply reinstall any previous version. There is no need to unistall anything.

Out of Bounds warnings are very rarely false. If you think yours is legitimate, upload the MillMage .mage file and tell us your $130 - $132 GRBL parameters.

ok on the ver8.01 but it was offered to me as a update when i opened MM. but any way how do i get and install the last version??

I both opened it and checked for updates in the Help window. I only see 0.8.00 available. Are you sure you are not running an RC-3 version?

i dont know what a RC-3 version means.

out_of_bounds_warning.mage (4.6 KB)

out_of_bounds_warning2.mage (14.5 KB)

so i downloaded the 8.0 version and installed it and checked the ver (see screen shot of version) 8.00

, then i closed MM and reopened it and checked the version( see screen shot of version) 8.01. i did this 2 two time’s with same results??

They are in 2 different folders, but your shortcut is pointing to the Release Candidate.

In those two parameter images, I see what appears to be a machine made with elastic rails. In the first one, your machine is 460mm x 150mm. In the second, it shows as 300mm x 300mm.

You cannot be changing those numbers. No surprise you are getting Out of Bounds error messages. Set them to the actual travel limits of your machine and leave them alone. Then work all your designs within those boundries.

You will see the release information on the title bar as well. When checking for updates from the released version, I see the following.

I note the title bar from a few images you posted showing you were running the Release Candidate version.

“RC” stands for Release Candidate, which is a pre-release or public beta version.

I just ran your file.

  1. Homed the CNC.
  2. Lowered the spindle 10mm, which put me at Zzero.
  3. Require Control Mode is turned on.
  4. Clicked on the Process button.
  5. Nothing funky in the Control Mode window with the GCode listing.

Clicked on the Start button and your program ran without incident on my 3040 machine.

ya mike, but it is two different machines, that is why i screen shot both, i was not getting the out of bounds before the update, and now both are getting the same warning. sorry for the confusion, and lol its not my short cut, it was created by MM, what folder should it be pointing to??

i found it, thanks

Hahaha! Two machines was not on my radar.

You still having issues with v0.8.00?

running test now, and the goto and out of bounds are gone, had some problems where my device’s were missing and all my managed “saved positions” were missing and warning about opening a project created with newer revision and may not save properly. thank for your help and patience
