Grayscale Engrave Speed

Using the Ortur LM2 pro S2 LF

Wanting to engrave a small image thats nice and dark

What sort of speeds are you guys using to get a black and white photo looking dark and light with grayscale, im finding that to get the image to look detailed and not completly washed out I have to use very slow speeds and high power, 1500mm/min and 30-100% power, as you can imagine this is meaning that everything takes hours to do, Im thinking im doing something wrong, does anyone have an example image that they have burned at a higher speed in Birch plywood that I can test out and show my results to please.
