Did this for a couple of Greek friends of mine as gifts. I’m not crazy about bamboo because of the variation in density, but it still got a few chuckles.

Is the something that needs to be done to make these boards usable after engraving? Do I just remove all the charing and coat with mineral oil?
There are a number of things you can do to remove the charring. For cutting boards, I use a stiff toothbrush with soap and water. Mineral spirits also works well for decorative items but not for something that might come in contact with food.
