Grid lines showing up in final etch

Anyone have any insight as to what could be causing these gridlines to show up? This is a 50W Fiber laser, running at 1000mm/sec and 40-50% power, using 800DPI and 80-100kHz

They’re so faint - I wonder if it could have been a coating on the aluminum pre-anodizing, like a piece of film that had that pattern and was peeled off.

What is your line interval? If you change it, does the same grid appear?

This may be it - I changed my line interval down to 800 from 1000 (I also changed the angle from 45 to 0) - one of these two made a difference haha it’s MUCH better on the 800 & 0* than the 1000 & 45*

They appear on 2 different anodized products so I think it’s a settings thing vs an anodizing thing since it’s 2 different manufacterers and the grid is the same on both. The scan angle seems the culprit.

It may be that there’s a limit to the resolution you can get out of your galvo - 1000 lines per inch equates to a very fine step between each mirror’s angle for each line.
