just bought laser downloaded software and it goes to home and sits and grinds
Given that we don’t know which laser you have, it’s hard to be more specific, but:
- The controller is apparently configured to automatically home when it’s started
- The machine does not have home switches
- or At least one of the home switches is not working / wired correctly
This is written for Sculpfun machines, but will give you an idea of the possibilities:
If the controller reports an Alarm 9 (visible in the Console window), that’s most likely what’s going on.
