I have the Gweike G2 and have installed LB 1.7. I now notice that I can’t have 2 LB windows open as I had always previously had using LB with Diode & CO2 lasers.
Is this a problem with the G2 or is it the case with all galvo lasers.
I used to be able to have 1 job running and be setting up the next job, but now if I open the 2nd LB window the first job ends and goes back to framing.
I also used to have 2 different lasers running from LB at the same time, haven’t tried this yet with 1.7 and the G2 running but assume that would stop the G2 job as well.
Is there any settings or fix for this to get back to being able to run 2 LB windows at the same time?
I’ve run this with my Ruida and my JPT fiber. I did not try running a job then opening another instance of Lightburn… Otherwise, it seems to work fine…
Hi Jack. Yes, I had always been able to run my Ruida 80w and G Code diode at the same time, with multiple LB windows that allowed me to be running 2 jobs and also preparing next jobs for each machine.
Now, I am trying to run the Gweike G2 and open a 2nd LB window to prepare the next job, but soon as the 2nd window opens, it connects to the laser and stops the running job.
Just wondering if there is a setting in LB I can tweak to stop it auto connecting to the laser when a 2nd window opens or whether I just set my diode as the default laser so when I open a 2nd LB window it doesn’t connect to G2. The problem I see with this is having to change from mm/min to mm/sec every time.
Just to clarify - trying to open a 2nd LB window doesn’t crash the program. It just stops the running job which then returns to the framing. LB is still running, the result of opening the 2nd LB window is mike hitting the stop button on the running job, the 2nd window does open but I’m trying to do that without impacting the running job.
