Had a new laser for my sainsmart prover

it is a 5.5w fixed focus as my old one was a manual focus

i have just installed it to do a test run but the fire button is set at 0.5% and burning my material were as i was expecting just to see a light

also i have seen a few issues in homing i have had to press the home button 3 times to get it homed it willl go towards home position but then stop i will add the console date here

If you go through the Lightburn setup for grbl lasers, it will probably solve your issue…

First line in the quick setup is probably the issue…

Surprised it worked properly set that way…

I’m going to guess this is a wiring issue. Did you match pin assignments from controller to the laser module? If you’re not sure about this, take some high quality photos of: controller pins, old laser module pins, new laser module pins ideally with all markings showing.

If you can link to a site that shows material about the specific laser module that would be helpful.

Can you also take a screenshot of Edit->Device Settings?

A new laser module should have no bearing on homing. Did something get bumped or moved during the swap? What do your limit switches hit when being triggered? Did it used to hit the old module?
