Having Trouble with initial set up and homing

Good Afternoon, I am having trouble setting up my Laser. I did the initial set up, however whenever I plug it in, it goes into the right corner and tries to move more and stops. I am getting the following error. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Can you confirm if your machine has homing switches or not? I was under the impression that it didn’t. However, you have homing enabled ($22=1) which is why it’s trying to home. Did you change this parameter?

If your machine did have homing it would move to the front-left of the machine. Did you change any parameters for homing direction? If not, is it possible that your machine is turned 180 degrees from what it should be?

Hello, thank you for the reply. I am very green to this am currently running at Atomstack A5 Pro. Would you be able to guide me to see if it does? On the initial set up, it called 410 x 400, I changed to 390 x 390 because it kept moving forward. Should I disable the autohome function upon initial set up?

I will assume your machine does not have limit switches.

  1. yes, disable “auto-home on start” in Device Settings
  2. change your dimensions. 410 mm wide by 400 mm tall.
  3. Turn off the machine
  4. Move laser head to front left of machine
  5. Turn on.
  6. Confirm in LightBurn Move window that position shows as 0,0

If so, it should be good to go.

Okay, just did all your steps you recommended. It looks like it’s working now. Thank you! Will tell you if it doesnt.
