I have a longer laser 10w on the lightburn software i put the height/width in the settings but the actual size is different. example height 3.5" and width 9.5" and the outcome was height 2.5" width was correct. someone said turn rotary off and i did and tried to make a box 2" by 2" and it came out height 1.5" by 2". I’m sure there must be a setting that needs adjusted but i don’t know what it is???

fixed problem by calibrating the y axis.

I have the same problem now. Please explain how the matter was addressed by explaining it in a video or pictures
How big is your offset? If you have a small millimeter-deviation, the way is to do axis calibration. If your offset is more like twice the size, then you might have a problem with units (e.g. conversion from inches to millimeters).
Do a little research before asking people to do the work for you
