Help! Laser keeps throwing GPIO code! Need to get orders done, laser not functioning

Help! I ran a huge job the other day everything went fine, i updated Lightburn when it recommended to do so. My next job came out terrible, over burning the edges, not burning enough. I am engraving leatherette and all of a sudden it threw these codes at me.

What do i do to fix? Is my laser toast? I really need this fixed as I am in the middle of orders. Any help would be great I am new to Lightburn.

Have you downloaded the latest 1.5.01 release of Lightburn recently? This looks like a Windows error message. Try reinstalling the 1.4.05 release and see if the errors go away.

How do i get the old version back? does seem like since I downloaded new update everything went crazy …:frowning: tried re installing and everything.

These types of error seem to show up on the newer 32bit controllers…

I’d think Windows would know about this…

:smile_cat:

So its a computer issue not the laser itself?

These messages are being generated by the controller on the laser. Additionally, these messages by themselves do not indicate a problem as they seem to be standard for many firmware.

The issues with the burn are likely not directly related to these messages or to the upgrade itself.

If you’d like to downgrade to rule that out then just download an older version and install over your current installation.

so if its being generated by the laser then there is something wrong with it. This message shows when it Homes itself. I’ve checked the wheels belts etc, everything is clean.it doesnt seem to be getting enough power to Laser, my normal cut was only 30 power, I have now had to up it to 100 power. Normally to engrave I only use about 30 power and now i bumped it up to 50… still needs more. The weird part is these files worked perfectly before… now not at their last settings

Are you absolutely certain these didn’t show before? These message are fairly typical with ESP32 based controllers.

I’d suggest checking to see if the lens is dirty. Check all wiring for damage. Test the power supply if you have a meter.

I’d first re-flash the firmware. Looks like a firmware bug / glitch. Maybe that gets corrected with a new flash.
