Ive searched the forums but havent found a cure for the laser stopping in the middle of a run. Anyone please?
Random disconnects usually happen because of:
- a crap USB cable, as the one packed with the laser is the cheapest one they could find
- static buildup & subsequent discharge, cured by bonding all the metallic parts together around the insulating wheels
- USB port issues on the PC, cured by disabling âgo to sleepâ timeouts and suchlike
If itâs not one of those, then weâll need more details to be of more help.
Thanks! Ill start with new USB
What kind of machine are you running? Itâs best to to fill in as much info on your profile as you can, people need to know what you are using exactly so that they can share specific instances.
Craig and Jack,
Thanks for the response! I am runnig a Twotrees TT-5.5S. I had big problems with this machine, but after I changed from the stock gantry I upgraded to the larger and installed limitswitches, before changing out to the larger gantry and installing the limit switchâs it seemed the machine had a mind of its own.
I am from Southwest Louisiana and we never ever dealt with static electricity because of always such high humidity, but Thursday the humidity was only 26%, so static may have been the demon, weâll see cause I ordered a new printer cable. I searched for a resolution before asking on the forums. The new printer cable will arrive in a few days. I hope that fixes.
ps
I have 2 machines now beside the TT-5.5S, I traded something for an older model of the GCC C02 Venus I, I have alot of questions about the new 2nd hand machine. Do you guys no if I can run it with Lightburn, if so how?
Thanks in advance, Doug.
Doug, I think @Rick would be able to answer this readily
LightBurn does not currently support the GCC lasers. You can use LightBurn to do your design work, then âPrintâ using the GCC print driver, but not drive the laser directly.
