Hello all I am a novice user of EZCad and recently purchased a Raycus 30w Fiber/Galvo from a friend. I am going to make a business out engraving and I decided that I would learn Lightburn and use it as my primary laser software. So the first day went good install was smooth no issues connecting to laser etc. Today LB started locking up when I would start a burn I did a clean install, and did the trick where you delete the config files and make LB reinstall the laser. I will list below the chain of events that would lead to a lockup:
I was learning how to burn photos in LB and changed the angle and dot width (0.080 to 0.050 and 45deg to 0 Deg) setting on a burn that had previously worked. When I hit start the software locks up. I let it sit for 10 min before Windows advised to wait or close the software. I changed the dot width back to default and angle to 45 after restarting software and laser and still had a lockup.
On another occasion it locked up after 4 successful burns of a simple graphic a friend gave me with no changes.
These are just two of the 6-7 times it locked up I really want to use LB it is so much better than EZCad and I have 4 days of Laser everything youtube videos learning how to use it. My goal is to be ready to work craft shows by April 1 so I really need to get LB going consistently.
