When I plug the rotary device ( HM Mods v.1.1 roller) into the y axis, it seems to disable my ability to change carriage position via the Move command. As a result, I can’t position my carrier to the center of the workpiece. New at this and I’m probably doing something wrong. Running a Gerbil on a K40.
You should be able to move it by hand, but in general, if you’re plugging into the Y axis to use the rotary, you should position the head first, then do the axis swap. There’s nothing LightBurn can do to move the motor once it’s no longer connected.
I did, but only with a few changes. I uninstalled my minigerbil and installed a Cohesion 3d laser controller. I then had to modify the firmware (with help from a generous and patient fellow traveler). You can read the thread here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/HMLASER/permalink/356837538260331/
