I am a new user, just started today. I was engraving test pieces until I updated the LightBurn software. I must have done something wrong because no I have no connection to the laser.
Did you check the COM port in the Laser Window/
Thank you for your kind help. I had two problems, the work area was set a .390” x.390” and the last two boxes at the bottom of the laser window were incorrect. Everything working except the programmer leaves something to be desired.
Point three nine zero? Yeah, that can be a problem. Glad you got it running.

Fill mode is offset from line mode.
I typed in a word and used the offset function to surround the word for a cutout. When the program is run, the word (fill function) is offset 1.25" to the left of the line cut. If offset fill is used, the word is centered in the line cut as it should be. When I run preview, it looks the same when fill and offset file are selected; the word is centered in both cases. I tried turning off the machine and restarting from scratch but always get the same result. How do I solve this problem?
