Homing Fail Alarm 9

Laser doesn’t home when I power it on.

Checked cords, they’re producing power at the right settings per my voltimeter.

Still getting the error:

ALARM:9

Homing fail. Could not find limit switch within search distance. Defined as 1.5 * max_travel on search and 5 * pulloff on locate phases.

Hello Ben

Either your power adapter has failed, or you forgot to plug it to the wall.
remember the USB cable carries 5V off your computer, so it is more than enough to power the motherboard. Is not enough to power the stepper motors though.

Could you double check?

Oh it’s definitely plugged in. Checked with Voltimeter that it’s getting 120v from the wall and it’s variable, but producing 24v or less at the output. I think my power supply is fried.

Something you might want to check is - if you have SF or LF module, remove the ground from under the little screw.

Sounds though - like you need a replacement power brick yes.
