I have a 3018 pro which I use with Lightburn successfully.
I have now installed limit switches on all axis and they do indeed stop the machine if they are depressed.
However when I push the ‘homing’ button the z axis rises but it does not stop when the homing switch is pressed.
I’m not sure what I need to do. I have set $21 and $22 to 1 as expected.
I have not yet managed to ‘home’ as the z axis just goes all the way to the top and the motor sounds terrible so I have to pull the plug.
Confused!

It seems I may have solved it… ‘The X and Z limit switch input pins are reverse marked (swapped) on the 3.4 Woodpecker board.’
It’s too late to test it now so going to try in the morning.
In essence it looks like the printing on the board is wrong and the X and z switches need to be reversed.

It worked.
Swapped the X and z axis switches and solved.
Now just got to work out how homing benefits me??
It lets you use absolute positioning accurately - You no longer have to manually zero the machine.

Excellent. I have a camera on the way so hopefully I will be able utilise that too.
One question… When I press home my z axis also homes… Is it possible to home only the X and y axis from within Lightburn?

I believe I have answered my own question… Answer is no, as it’s a gbrl firmware issue
