Homing Issue After Upgrade

I have Ortur LM2 Machine. I recently replaced the LU 1-4 module with a Comgrow 20w module. The new module is 63mm square and the LU 1-4 is about 40x42mm. I glued a protrusion on to the side of the new module to hit the x-axis homing switch and it works fine. I relocated the y-axis homing switch to the front rail of the Ortur. It works fine if the module hits the x-axis switch before the module reaches the y-axis switch. If the module maxes out the y-axis travel before it reaches the homing switch, it bangs into the front rail and then tries to go left to hit the x-axis switch.

Is there a setting to adjust in Lightburn that can rectify this situation? Can I have different homing speeds for the x and y axis? Can anyone think of a mechanical solution?

  1. Move the switch back to the origin location
  2. Fabricate an extension that attaches the left side of the X gantry that will trigger the switch. It looks like right now you’re depending on the laser module to trigger the switch. Instead, have the gantry with extension trigger the switch. You could 3d print, laser cut, hand cut, or otherwise fabricate the extension. It only need be rigid and secure but not particularly strong.

Duh!!! I was focused on the module and not the switch. Thanks.
