When I home my machine (Neje Max4 E80), it hits the position very hard.
To solve the problem I tried to reduce the velocity over GRBL $25 and $24 in the machine settings. If I read out the settings, I can see the new values.
After changing the values I have resettet the controller and startet Lightburn again.
But Lightburn apparently doesn’t want to adopt the new values. It drives at the old speed.
I tried the same thing via the console. However, also without success.
Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong.
Enclosed the settings.
In the open-source versions of grbl, (in the control board on the engraver) the settings are user adjustable. There is an option in the controller to allow the grbl settings to be reset to the factory settings by turning it off and back on again. Generally the grbl settings survive an on-off-on power cycle.
If the manufacturer has opted to protect their settings, the only option is to change the firmware in the controller.
When the engraver first connects to LightBurn, information about the version number (and sometimes a build-date) is offered. Please copy the text from the Console window in LightBurn and paste it into a reply here. Then we can check to see if new firmware is available.
