I have a made by myself laser cutter with a 50W Vevor tube, Vevor power supply, and a Ruida controller. I am trying to engrave some names on christmas ornaments for gifts. First time running into this kind of problem. I have quite a small font, non-capital letters are about 6mm high. The horizontal parts of the font are not being engraved, but whats wierd, on both sides of the line to be engraved, you can see that the laser tried something, but the middle of the line is not engraved. I thought maybe it’s Min power issues, but I put Max and Min to 40% and still same results. Is there something obvious I am missing?
Urghh, thats why you try absolutely everything before posting to forum. I Put my speed lower and the issue is fixed.
You have some belt tension issues to contend with
A test you can do is uncheck Bi-Directional Fill
Will pattern come out better?
if so, tighten the Y belts a lot
