I was wondering if an hour counter could be added to lightburn to keep track of total hours the laser is firing.
Lightburn has no way of knowing if the laser is on or off. That would have to be added at the laser machine itself.
Can’t you get an input from the firing led?
Thanks! What do you wire it into to get the signal?

Hour meters are usually wired to the power coming into the machine. One side to Common and the other after the Power On switch. Make sure the meter voltage is correct for your situation.
Be sure to unplug the machine before attempting any wiring modifications.
May not be helpful for you but for those with a Chinese CO2 Laser using Ruida controllers (which very many do). - If you go to Edit tab in LB (topLeft) scroll down To “Get Controller Info” and it will give you all the info you could wish for - Note -your laser must be on and connected to do this. Just FWIW. Cheers.
