How much data goes with a file that’s uses a rotary?

Today I put my PiBurn V4 in my Thunder Odin, found the file I needed in the controller for the tumbler, set Origin and started the job. Then I realized part way through I had never told the controller I was in rotary mode or loaded my rotary machine settings. Everything turned out fine and I’m wondering why.

Is it because the Odin, like the other Thunder models, has a dedicated U axis? Was there enough data sent with the file originally that it sorted it all out because of this? It was a double sided tumbler and turned out just like it did when I sent it to the laser originally. The Frame was faster which I usually slow down in the Machine Settings.
