How to align font to a specific location on a part?

Hi,
I am a machine shop owner who bought a used Fiber Laser machine. (I am new to this)

I have a job that the blue print specifies 3 font sizes Century Gothic at .197" height and .118" height and .080" hight at specific locations on the part.

I drew a rectangle for the outside dimensions of the part
And I am needing to place the font according to the print.
I can’t seem to figure out how to locate font according to my print.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am a diode laser guy - but I think the layout will be similar for your machine.

Use FRAME layers T1 or T2 to place your text boxes where you want them on the part. Right click, select lock shapes - and the drag handles change into “+” signs. Now you can use the non-engraving frame boxes to size and position your text as needed. Hotkey tip:
“p” centers the selected item in your work space
“,” rotates 90 degrees
“ctrl+Z” undo one step (no limit, goes back to the last step saved)

Have you gotten that far in the process yet? Have you learned the GROUP and UNGROUP commands? I don’t want to talk down to you, but your level of comfort manipulating the UI and the software is not apparent from your post.

For jobs like this I engrave the shape on cardboard (cereal box/amazon cartons and cheap and easy to find) and cut it out, then place in a repeatable position and fine tune positioning with this before attempting on an actual product.

+100 to the idea of cheap prototype material. Proof of concept and execution before committing to final design.

I also use cardboard for easy jig construction.
