How to clear tabs..?

I need help! Newbie here… Every time I try and cut, some of the cuts seem to have tabs left behind. I tried to “clear tabs”, but I cannot get it to reset to “0”. When I manually enter 0 in the tabs section, it defaults to .10. It was defaulting to .19, so I’m sure there must be some other setting I’m missing. I tried to adjust the overcut, but some pieces are still not fully cut! Others that have bought the same file I’m cutting say that they have no problems at all!

I am using a 50W CO2 with Ruida 644xg controller, cutting 1/4" baltic birch plywood

0.1 is the length of the tabs, not how many of them you have. If you have clicked ‘Clear tabs’ you don’t have tabs any more - you would actually see them in the edit window if you did, as circles on the design, like this:

What you DO have is your Min Power value set to 0, which will be lower than the firing threshold of your tube (probably about 5% for a 50w). That means that the start and end of your cuts will have the beam power dropping low enough to turn it off, producing what looks like a tab at the start of every cut.

When cutting slowly, it’s useful to just set Min Power to match Max Power. When doing surface marking you want the Min Power value just above your firing threshold for the tube.
