I have a PC with Win11 and LB 2.0.04 and I am trying to work with library items. I see that I can drag&drop an item (a design | icon) from one library to another. For example I had a number of Christmas items mixed into my regular art library. I made a new “Xmas” library. Then I drag&drop those Christmas items from my “Art” library to my “Xmas” library. Then I try to delete the origional icon from the “Art” library. It does not work for me. I click (select) the icon in the “Art” library and then I click the [Delete] button, but it either ignors me or, worse yet, it deletes the wrong item. Is this just me doing something wrong or is this a bug ? Yes, I read several forum posts about libraries but they mostly deal with complete library files. So, I’m stumped.
The doc is generally a better source for specific program features:
Right-clicking artwork in an Art Library brings up the options to Delete or Rename it.
Don’t get me started on help from AI chatbots, 'cause you know how I get. ![]()
I tried BOTH the [Delete] button and the ‘right-click’>‘delete’ methods and the names and icons are wrong. I have a video of this misbehavior. It looks like incorrect indexing. In fact it frequently selects and icon of some art item several lines above (in my “Art” library)
.
That’s the sort of error best handled directly by support@lightburnsoftware.com.
Including a link to the video will be helpful.
I’ll try that. Thanks for your prompt reply.
In the short term, you can make a different library and import just the art you want to keep then delete the corrupted library entirely.
Kinda a flamethrower approach, but I am simple like that ![]()
