no matter were i try to place it it always just ends up floating
i need it fixed into a tab
any ideas what i need to do?

The Docking / Undocking doc has a caveat:
The current positions of existing toolbars and windows, size of your computer’s display, and the size of the LightBurn window all determine where and how many windows can be stacked on top of one another — if you’re unable to dock an additional window above another, it is most likely not a valid location. If your LightBurn window is not expanded to the full size of your screen, try maximizing it.
The LightBurn window looks like it’s maximized, so perhaps the vertical screen resolution is too small to jam another tab in there. As an experiment, try removing one of the five tabs to see if that allows docking One More Window.
You can get a bit more vertical room by setting the Windows Task Bar to auto-hide.
