Hello - pretty new to laser and Lightburn. Working my way through tutorials online and haven’t been able to fix this one issue I am having.
I have this image of a Santa Hat
If I burn it as is there is a small space in between. I would like the pieces to nest together. When I try to move the pieces together In Lightburn there are still small gaps and it doesn’t come together perfectly.
Is there an easy way to address this? I initially started editing all the nodes trying to line them up and it was very time consuming so figured I would ask the hive.
Thanks!
I’m trying to keep the three pieces separate but making it so they nest together without a gap after I burn them. I think since I’m new to node editing it’s just taking me a lot longer and I’m struggling to get it to work correctly.
I have cheated a little, because it was the fastest and easiest, I have deleted the border line from one shape and dubbed it from the other shape so they are almost identical. I have set it to fill to better see the effect.
The difference to pure node edit is the time spent on just this task, breaking and duplicating the boundary lines and reassembling them, takes 2 minutes max.
