Is there a way to read from controller then save the settings as default?

The “simulation” is, as I understand it, the preview:
Allowing you to play / simulate the potential work on the machine:
Here you can save an image of the job, but not the simulation of it running (via the play button).
You can read your controller parameters from Edit: Machine Settings:
You can save a backup of your controller configuration from here as well as load a configuration from a backup:
I do not understand what you mean by save the settings as default. Sorry.
Use the button at the bottom of that screen to ‘Read From (your) Controller’. These are then saved when you hit OK.

When you read from the controller (or define your own values) and click OK, the settings are saved. Are you not experiencing this?
I just checked the shop computer and it is saved. Sorry for the confusion. What’s the best way to transfer the settings to my office computer? Just type them in?
That’s probably going to be the easiest path to where you want to go and it is only a few fields to populate. Is your office computer without connectivity to the controller (your controller is not connected via Ethernet)?
It is connected via Ethernet but to a separate router. I don’t think I’m technical enough to make the connection to office.
