Huge difference in open shapes count between versions 2.0.05 and 2.1.00 RC 11

Hello everyone,

I have run into a strange situation with one of my projects and I am wondering if I missed a new setting or if this is a bug in the newest version.

When I open my project in LightBurn 2.0.05, the preview warns me that 8 shapes are set to fill but are not closed.

However, when I open the exact same project file in LightBurn 2.1.00 RC 11, the warning suddenly states that 155 shapes are open and will be skipped.

Does anyone know why there is such a massive difference in how the two versions calculate or detect open shapes for the exact same file? Is this an intended change in the new version, a new tolerance setting I missed, or simply a bug?

I am attaching screenshots and the LightBurn project file for reference.

Thank you for your help!

A strange development with your file. I’m using 2.0.05 and when I select preview, then “show” the shapes, a large segment in the middle of the work is highlighted. I’m able to drag it to the side without harming the rest of the workpiece.

The strange part is that I am not able to select a different layer to make this invisible segment visible. It won’t become visible as line nor fill, nor tool. I don’t have the RC so I didn’t delete the segment and try to open it in the newer version. Once I moved the ghost to the side, the preview functioned as expected, which indicates there’s some interaction between the good side and the dark side.

I think the RC does a better job of detecting the duplicates. I think that was mentioned in a posting or the Release Notes.
