I heard a small pop

Yeah, I have no clue if this is normal. Before the pop sound I was engraving at 200 / 50. Today, I finished them at 180 / 75. That kind of tells me everything I need to be honest. You can just look at the engraving area, and see that it’s not putting out much.

The US tech support guy say’s The video looks normal to me.

I’m going to ask a friend to take a small 5 second clip of his, and try to compare. I think I’m going to request a warranty replacement. This tube has probably 2 hours on it.

Here ya go. At 18% it won’t burn through masking tape on Mirror 1

Have you checked inside where the laser comes out of the tube? I’ve heard of packing material getting stuck inside.

No I haven’t to be honest. It’s been running fine for 3 or so weeks when I have used it. I used it today matter of fact engraving tumblers.

I closed the support ticket today too.

Sounds like a fuse blew there is likely one in the power supply

You have a feed wire from your power supply that is breaking down and arcing on your cabinet. Check the paint near the power supply and tube and look for arcing areas

Hi there. I think everything is fine, at the moment. I provided that video of my laser firing to the US Support Guy in Louisiana, and he said it looked normal. I’ve never seen one before now, so I didn’t know what it should look like.

It’s engraving fine, now that I have the mirrors clean, and more so since I’ve got them lined up properly. They weren’t off real bad, but mirror two had the laser damn near hitting the top of the head where it makes that 90 degree turn down to the material bed.
