I hope I am just missing something, machine coordinates home to -377, and how to center using origin like lightburn?

I have a FoxAlien Masuter Pro (400x400). When I home, the machine cooridnates for x/y go to -377 and the workpiece coordinates go to 0. Once I start the process, the machine tries to go to the positive coordinates and hits the upper right limit switches.
I searched through the forum and see a similar post, but no resolution.
I also use lightburn, but on a different setup. I love being able to set the origin location on the image and then set the origin on the workpiece. I can’t understand why Millmage is not set up the same way (unless I am just missing something). It makes alignment so easy.
Any help is appreciated. (I already tried changing the origin in device settings).
Thanks

Did you check these options as well?

So, the reason that MillMage and LightBurn differ in how they handle coordinates has a short and long answer. The short version is:
MillMage doesn’t really care about machine boundaries. It only cares about the workpiece boundaries. In the startup wizard, when you give it a dimension for the blank, that is what your project will be.

So the workpiece and machine coordinates almost always differ.

Most GRBL-based machines (and I believe the FoxAlien machines use it) will have the machine 0,0 set up in the top right corner on the screenshot provided by @misken .

Even if the homing switches are in the bottom left, if those values are negative, that means the 0,0 is in the top right.

The workpiece coordinates will then need to be set depending on what thickness your piece is, and what diameter bit you use as well. (Ideally you offset by half the diameter so your bit centerline is on the edge of your blank.)

And yes, it’s not an easy concept to work with - but because of screws and clamps and whatever else in the way on the CNC machine that wouldn’t happen on a laser, it just doesn’t make sense to setup origins like we do in LIghtBurn. Sorry!

I always want to see the table. So all my designs are 760*1100mm. When I unlock the machine, I go to All Home and it finds ZXY0. Then I only change the Z for each project. I place it where I want on the table and the tool goes there. If for some reason I stop the router without finishing the project when I open it again, I find ZXY0 I pass the Z of the project again and it goes right to the part I have on the table. I never change X0Y0. This mode works like LIghtBurn.
