I have j tech photonics 4.2 watt all my photos in dether and grey scale come out black, I played with power and speed down to 20 and 100 still black brought down the dpi still black, can you tell me what am I doing wrong ?

Then let us know exactly what settings you used. Maybe some screenshots of the LB cut / engrave dialog. How many pictures did you try? Did the preview window in Lightburn show something other than all black?
