I have tried everything I can think of, scoured the board, but REALLY need some help.
Homes to x0 Y470
When I start a run it instantly hits the out of range alarm now…this is a new problem!
Can anyone help me?
Please!!

Maybe @berainlb can give you a hand… it’s a fiber source, but on a grbl controlled gantry if I’m not mistaken…?
I’m not the grbl person that knows about these… I’m wondering why it comes up with such an odd origin…
Hang in there…
Can you provide the following:
$H
$#
?
You didn’t type the 2nd and 3rd commands correctly. Can you try again?
Also, if you use “Absolute Coords” as your start from mode, does that make a difference?
Many thanks for this help.
Absolute cords, no difference.
Screen shot of (hopefully) the correct command!!
You got the second command correct there. However, you missed the last command, the ?
command. Can you please run through the commands again as I want to validate position.
You have an work offset configured. Is this deliberate? It’s likely the cause of what you’re experiencing but can’t imagine it would ship like this from the factory without a reason.
However, would need the output of the full set of commands to confirm.
That is not deliberate!!
Will do that first thing and post here.
Thanks again, this is new to me, and the back end confuses me.
We have a very large confused boat group … when you are just learning about these we’ve all been in that boat…
Just sing out if you have issues.
That confirms it. Let’s remove the work offset. Run this in Console:
G10 L2 P1 X0Y0
Then home and retest and report back please.
Howdy, it instantly says exceeds maximum range of motion when asked to frame a job, after homing
Can you rerun these commands and return full output:
$H
$#
?
Also, please include a full screenshot of LightBurn with Laser window in view.
A couple of things to look at:
Wooo And indeed Hoo!!
It lives!
The last problem…always been there I think, frames perfectly, as soon as I press start, it completes the project, just 4mm lower than it should be
i might be mistaken but dont Ikier has a built in offset because of the Cross dot?
Are you following the Ikier lightburn profile creation instructions?
No, the fibre on has the annoying intersecting dots.
Would really like the cross.
Are the intersecting dots used for both focus and framing? If it’s also intended for framing, is there an offset between the intersecting dots and the primary laser? And if so, does that account for the 4 mm difference?
I will go and try that now!
