Image problem in Lightburn

If I go to burn an image like this.

It comes out like this.

I can flip it horizontally and it comes out ok but it’s a PITB

Just flip the frame/sign layer but not the layer with the writing/image.

Are you burning both the red layer and the tag or just the red layer. I don’t see how it’s possible for just the red layer to flip.

If you’re only burning the red layer, you have your machine origin set incorrectly. This is changed in Machine Settings (Wrench & Screwdriver Icon). For most diode lasers the origin is LF, for most C02 lasers the Origin is RR.

I’m burning both at the same time.

Interesting, what does the preview window show?
What laser?

Haven’t looked at the preview window. Monport K40. I don’t think it’s related, but it seemed have happened when I ungraded to the .08 version. I deleted it and installed .07 version.

I always recommend checking the preview. It has save me from some big mistakes. If the preview shows the anomaly, upload the file for others to look at. I just can’t think of a setting that would cause this behavior.

In the midst of booking a flight to the Aokigahara Forest I found the problem. It appears I must have inadvertently switched this on.

I do appreciate your response though (seems like your the most knowledgeable person here.

Far from it, but thank you.

Pay attention to @thelmuth about using preview. That emulates your machines actions and you can see where the head will move and where it will lase.

If you use preview before you run any job, it will save you time and money… it’s quick and very cheap to use the tools provided.

You have to learn to read it, but you’ll pick it up quickly.

Thank you for reporting this.

I’d be interested in attempting to replicate what you’re seeing. If I can demonstrate this to the dev team as a repeatable problem I can report it.

If you’re willing, please share your file here.

I’d really appreciate the opportunity to investigate this further.

Turned out it was a setting. Doing good now.
