Images shifting when cutting

I have had to change laser cutters and computers. My original laser cutter was having significant issues, so, I bought a Wecreat VisionPro 45W. At the same time, my Mac decided that it had reached the end of its useful life, so I had to try to transfer all of my files/programs to my HP computer. Yes, there were some issues, and thanks to the folks in this forum, I am now back up and running. I have run into a unique situation…and this ONLY happens when I am using Lightburn…I will be cutting and for some reason part of my design cuts where it is not supposed to, the cut line looks like someone moved the board…I have double checked the file tha this is coming from, and this occurred after about an hour of cutting. Since I am using a new machine, and new computer, my settings are off so my engraves and cut are being handled very slowly. I have included a picture of the bad cut. I have updated my camera settings.

I think there is supposed to be an .lbdev file for the VisionPro. Search the Forum for references to this model.

Several things can contribute to this symptom, but waiting up to an hour for something to happen means you will need patience trying to find the cause. First thing to do is rule out overheating of the controller in the laser.

No VisionPRO LBDEV found.

Actually, Aaron sent me the lbdev file last week!

It may be overheating. Using my backup laser cutter, which has half the power, I was seeing something similar. Put a fan on the machine and it cut for 5 hour straight with no issues!

I’d like to see the picture you mentioned here, if you can attach it.
Please also share the LightBurn project file (.lbrn2) so we can see the design and cut settings.

I will send as soon as I have a chance. Thanks for looking at this..

You should have everything.

Could you describe which bit of the design that is. I’m staring at the lbrn2 file, can’t figure out which part it is that you are showing in the photo!

I had two choices, of course I fat thumbed it! My apologies…

That makes a lot more sense! Since the pink layer with “love” burns first, I see to possibilities. Either the material is shifting between layers, or you are loosing steps/skipping teeth. The former could be explained by different air assist, the latter could be physical machine issues, or running to fast. Can you confirm your speed settings? Is Fast whitespace scan enabled, and if so, at what speed?

Whitespace scan set to 0.

pink 1000/17.5; green 25/82.5

I just found a note to myself…the pink was most likely set at 130 and 35% power and the green was 130 and 78% power. I found that going too fast was making the laser head “bang”. Lightburn did not save my most recent settings. More on that to follow.
