Hi, with the new version I wanted to import an image and verctorize it. So far so good, but if I want to do some extra work and keep the image in the background to work with vectors on top of it, this fails. The image is always in the foreground and you can not see vectors and shapes that are drawn on top of it. This was possible in older versions. Seems to be an error…
Rearrange the order of the Cut layers such that the vector layer is farther down in the stack relative to the image layer.
Perhaps rearranging the layer order in the Cuts / Layers
window will fix things:
As I understand it, the first (top) layer in that list gets drawn on the screen first, with everything else drawn over it. If you drag the Image
layer up there, I think that does what you want.
Yes, that means the “top” of the list winds up on the “bottom” of the drawing, but life is full of weirdness these days …
That worked. I thought in older versions I used the Rearrange - Move to background /foreground options. These don’t work now. The cut layer window did the trick. Thanks!
You can really use this to your advantage…
When I use tool layers, I put them at the bottom, then they show up best in the work area, especially if you’re going to use the tool layer for a mask.
Good luck
