In lightburn, I cannot change the cutting speed to more than 99 in/sec and the laser moves at the same speed and power no matter what I change in lightburn. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling lightburn, I’ve tried loading and writing my backup .lbset file, I’ve turned the laser on and off, and no matter what I try, I can’t put in more than 2 digits for speed, and the laser cuts at the same speed and power no matter what. I have a 100W chinese co2 with a Ruida controller. I’m at a complete loss.

99 in/s is quite fast. It’s likely that you’re exceeding the maximum speed of your laser and is topping out. Check your maximum speed settings in Edit->Machine Settings.

5,940 inches/minute or 495 feet/minute…

:smile_cat:

You’re right. And that prompted me to change the “setting” to inches/mm/sec. It seems that somehow, it got changed from mm/sec and my brain couldn’t make the connection. All is well now, thanks!
