No matter what size mode I am in the Distance in the move tab is always in Inches. Cant get it to move in MM. Neither the Speed or Distance changes when you switch measurement types.

Found that switching it back to mm/s here makes it display mm for all the settings.
But still clicking the MM button in the first image and changing to Inches doesn’t update the move tab like it used to.
Your just stuck with MM in the move tab and the only way to switch it to inches is to open the Dimensions/ Units settings and changing it there.
No, that never did that (as far as I can remember). The button in your screenshot changes the measurement units for dimensions of objects in the workspace. It’s a design setting. The move window is laser control, that’s a completely different thing, the speed units have nothing to do with the size units of the design window.

I clearly remember entering decimal value when in inch mode and mm when in metric mode.
I remember when switching from MM to IN it would convert the 1 mm I had in the input to a decimal number.
I am going to install an older version and see if I can verify it.
You can simply enter ‘0.5in’ or ‘0.5"’ into the input box for inch units in a MM design space.
You can also select ‘Inches / mm/sec’ as a machine unit, to have inch unit increments but metric speeds.
