Incoherent function of the declension

Offset - Lightburn 1.7.03
The operation is different for 1 mm or 0.15mm, the generated images are not independent.
The external direction generates 2 shapes
The inner direction does not generate anything
The direction Both generate 2 shapes that are not independent for small values 0.15mm.

Show the shape you are talking about. It depends on the shape if the offset can be calculated correctly. And the offset will always somehow smoothen the original shape because the shape is only derived from the original.

Thank you for your information.
I have drawn a simple circle with the program and it works correctly, but with my gear from a gcode it does not behave properly.
I will look for if it traines a wrong information in the gcode or circumvent my problem by a dilatation of my shape to compensate the diameter of the tool.
Good suite.

You mean, you are importing gcode and using this as a base? I doubt that is meant to be done like that. gcode can be imported, but just for basic checking of the output file. It’s not meant to be manipulated. Always use vector sources if you want to edit the shapes. gcode does not include any shape information anymore, just a set of coordinates. It’s not possible to use these the same as a geometrical definition, like a vector.

Good morning, thank you for your response.
I calculated the points of a gear and introduced in the program GCODE.
Do you know of another way to code information from calculated data? This process works perfectly but I wanted to introduce a laser point compensation (or diameter of the tool).

Hello, I have solved my problem. It is absolutely necessary that the form be closed for the offset function to work properly. I assume that some engraving machines work directly with the DXF language without going through the GCODE. Again, thank you very much for your thoughts that have advanced mine.
