So what are people doing as far as toolpaths for Inlay work?
How are you setting up your jobs? Is doing a v-Carve inlay possible similar to the process laid out by Cutting it Close?
I have tried a couple of simple inlays with a straight 3mm bit and it works okay but can still get gapping in the corners and having a angled wall on the male and female parts should fix that and allow for more details to be added to a carve.
Not at this time, it is to be in the Pro release later.
You may be able to work something up with the Fluting Operation. Not V-carve, but you can sharpen the corners with it. I have included a sample file (not my work) so you can see how it is done, and a snapshot of the Preview window.

Thank you for the reply I figured it might end up being a Pro feature.
Thank you for the tip, I will look into that and play around some more.

I use F-Engrave for this. It was a bit tricky at first, but it works perfectly. I then stream the generated G-code using UGS. Here’s an example with extreme differences between the thickest and thinnest sections.
