Inquiry on what exactly over scanning is or does

Hello… I just recently updated lightburn and now I am lost on something what does over scanning do, and should I use it when engraving with a lser?

When your laser reaches the end of a pass, over scanning lets it turn off and go beyond the image to make the turn, and then come back for the 2nd pass and turns it back on when it reaches the image for a cleaner burn and less burned edges. As opposed to making the turn with the laser on, which leads to burned edges. Yes, you should use it.

You can read an explanation here in the LightBurn documentation.

Always a great place to find answers
