Installing Linear Stage for large sample engraving

I am currently using LYF-20BW/30BW/50W fiber laser marking machine and would like to inquire whether a linear stage that can be fitted onto the machine’s platform for engraving larger samples. And if it is possible, how do I setup and use the stage using lightburn?

My intended process is to engrave a specific area of the sample, then have the stage automatically translate the sample to the next position so that the adjacent area can be engraved. This would allow me to perform continuous engraving over a sample larger than the laser’s marking field without moving the laser head itself.

Could you please let me know if you know a compatible linear translation stage and necessary setups procedures for this application?

I’m also interested in using a linear or indexing stage with a fiber galvo for larger pieces. The idea of marking one section and then moving the workpiece to the next position seems much more practical than trying to move the laser head. I’d be especially interested in how LightBurn handles the indexing and alignment between each section, since even a small positioning error could leave visible seams.

I cannot respond to the Lightburn questions, but I am sure the manfacturer is the only one that knows if an indexing conveyor is available for your fiber machine. I have read it can be done but I do not remember which brand of laser or indexer was used.
