Is it possible to set the origin of the coordinate system to the center of the working field?
If this is in the documentation, I apologize. My English is weak and I might have missed it. Thanks in advance for your answer.
I will explain why this is necessary. I have several laser fiber optic machines that use their own software. These are not Chinese machines and the controllers on them are German. In their software, as in ezcad, the origin is in the center. The design program is also configured for this. And a problem with positioning appeared. You need to constantly change the center of coordinates to position yourself. I hope I explained it clearly.
I believe the fiber home corner is front/left. I have the display center switched on in mine and use it like that all the time. Using ^p to center the image…
This just shows the center, but does not change the origin of the coordinate system.
Below is an example of how positioning occurs in other programs. I use EZCAD, RAYLASE WeldMARK 3 and ScanMark. They all have the origin in the center of the working field. And positioning and all my devices are designed for this. But in this system you need to recalculate everything or constantly change the origin in the design program. Or install an additional program that costs a certain amount of money.
This is a feature request for galvo. 260 people backed it. Some thought it would appear in 1.7. Unfortunately, it didn’t.

As I stated, it’s front/left, never stated it changed the coordinate system but it’s what I’ve used since I got a fiber machine. I use the center option and everything is lined up on the center of the workspace…
I know of no way to change the coordinate system at the machine level …
