I have a Techsoft LaserCAM Star and would dearly like to move away from the software that comes with it.
Has anyone used Lightburn with these cutters?

You should check the controler used… and the according page : https://lightburnsoftware.com/pages/which-version-do-i-need .
Additionnaly, you can test it by yourself since an evaluation version is available, fully featurered for 1 month. The assistant will guide to by detecting your controler… if supported.

Thanks for this - I plan to try out Lightburn next time I can get near the laser; was just hoping someone with experience of the model could provide a shortcut!

We’ve never heard of that machine before. It will depend on whether it is a supported controller as Jean-Philippe says above. His link provides this other link:
I did a brief scan through their site, and it looks like their controller and software are proprietary.
