Silly question but I’m not sure of the naming convention.
The version I’m working with is the version MillMage Core 0.8.01-RC-3 @ 204e2b7 Qt6.5.7
My real version just updated to 0.8.02
It looks to me like the real version is the one I want to use now and not the RC, is that correct?

Correct. We produce RC’s for general testing prior to full release. Our Release Candidate (RC) versions are considered to be Public Betas. Once we are confident in the RC, we move to produce a full release for public consumption.
In this case, this patch version - “MillMage Core 0.8.01-RC-3 @ 204e2b7 Qt6.5.7” - was released March 26, 2026, as announced here:

I’ve had my CNC now for a few months and I’ve fallen in love with MillMage.
The fact that it’s an all in one package from design to machine is one of the best features.
AND it works on my Windows 10 laptop in the garage.
I can’t wait for the ability to do carving.
