Is there a correlation between speed and power

Is there a ‘relatively’ fixed correlation between speed and power? for example I am burning an image right now at 20 speed 60% power. It is a very detailed image but it is taking 3 1/2 hours. If I were to increase the speed to 40 is there a known amount I need to increase the power?

There are a number of factors that will affect the end burn but as a general rule of thumb you could approach it as a linear relationship. So if you double the speed you double the power. The material itself will play a large role in how this works in practice as more power at shorter burn time isn’t necessarily equivalent in effect to less power with more burn time.
